5. Create your own chocolate at a traditional chocolate factory in Basel
There is no other foodstuff more closely associated with Switzerland than chocolate. A visit to the famous Basel chocolatier allows you a precious insight into the manufacturing, processing and refining of chocolate, followed of course by some tasting. Afterwards you can put your newly gained knowledge into practice and create your own type of chocolate, assisted by master chocolatier Pascal Beschle. Travel by boat across the lake to Alpnachstad, where the steepest rack-and-pinion railway in the world awaits you. After a 30-minute trip up to the summit of Mount Pilatus, the most wonderful panorama will open up in front of you. And with luck you will also discover wild mountain goats and marmots on the rocky ground or eagles and mountain crows in the sky. Upon returning to Lucerne you will have the opportunity of wandering through the historic streets and lanes discovering the many wonderful sights of the city.
9. Discover Europe’s largest waterfalls and pulsating Zurich
This enchanting tour takes you on a scenic route to Northern Switzerland and shows the stunning Rhine Falls!
